The streets of old San Juan, Puerto Rico, are covered with cobble stones that were brought over by the Spaniards when they conquered the island. The stones were used as ballast on the ships and supposedly turned blue from hot slag deposited on them. The stones were left in Puerto Rico, presumably to replace it with Gold for the way back....
